Swift Spec-R Lowering Springs, part of the Swift Springs lineup, for the 2017-2022 Honda Civic Type R (FK8) are designed at the upper limits of OEM shock valving. These springs lower the center of gravity, reduce body roll, and sharpen handling response while remaining comfortable enough for daily driving. Both Sport and Spec-R options are excellent for street use, offering a ride that is slightly stiffer than factory suspension for a more controlled, sporty feel.
Developed for track duty and proven in HPDE and SCCA competition, Swift Spec-R Springs were engineered with three critical traits in mind: optimized ride height to maximize suspension geometry, increased spring rates tuned to usable shock stroke, and retention of streetable comfort. Using proprietary H5S.TW material and a unique manufacturing process, Swift achieves a rare combination of comfort and performance where most competitors compromise. Fewer coils reduce unsprung mass and eliminate coil bind, while quicker transient response improves traction and road feedback. Swift also focuses on bump rubber design and vehicle-specific tuning—ensuring luxury cars keep a luxury ride and sports cars retain their sharp, sporty character.
